The XO brand began with the vision of Koichi Haido,
Chief Instrument Technician at the Global Corporation in Japan.
After many experiments and countless prototypes,
the first XO trumpet was introduced to the market in 1995.
With vast experience in instrument making and prowess as a trumpet player,
Koichi Haido continues to explore innovative approaches to meet perfection.
He pushes the limits to reach the goal of providing a comfortable
and enjoyable playing experience for every performer.
Koichi Haido hopes XO can empower musicians to deliver excellence in tone and performance for
diverse musical genres, allowing players to easily achieve their own personal sound.

1995
  • The XO brand began with the vision of Koichi Haido, Chief Instrument Technician at the Global Corporation in Japan. After many experiments and countless prototypes, the first XO trumpet was introduced to the market in 1995.

2008
  • XO trumpets won “MMR Dealer’s Choice Awards”, “Band Instrument Line of the Year” in USA.

2009
  • Rober Ingram became a XO endorser.

  • XO 1600I Bb trumpet was released.

    XO 1600I was developed in collaboration with Roger Ingram, the XO 1600I trumpet meets Roger's requirements regarding a professional instrument. Vibrant and focused, it was designed for lead trumpet players in search of perfect sound projection and effortless intonation. The XO 1600I trumpet was inducted into Kentucky Museum's “Instruments of American Excellence Collection”

2013
  • John Fedchock became an endorser for XO.

2014
  • XO 1632 Tenor Trombone was released.

2017
  • XO 1602-LTR was released.

  • The 1602-LTR lightweight Bb trumpet is designed for experienced trumpet players and brings a totally different sound and feel to the XO Trumpet lineup. This free-blowing lightweight trumpet enhances the upper overtones without abandoning the lower harmonics in the series.

2019
  • The XO 1634 trombone was released.

  • The XO 1634 trombone meets all musician's requirements regarding a professional instrument. The response of the bell combined with a super light-weight and balanced design makes the XO 1634 tenor trombone especially versatile for any scenario.
